History of HHBC Whitehorse
A Nation-Builder in a Nation of Builders

In 2000 Home Hardware Stores Ltd. acquired Beaver Lumber, with all stores remaining independently owned and operated. Our landmark green and yellow sign was replaced and we became Whitehorse Home Hardware Building Center.
In the coming years a lot of growth and positive change came. In 2004 a 9800 square foot expansion was constructed to accommodate the growing and changing city. In April of 2014, Whitehorse Home Hardware purchased Northern Home Appliances and became the local GE appliance dealer.

2016 came with a 10,000 square foot store expansion, making Whitehorse HHBC the largest store in Canada at just over 50,000 square feet, not including the 2 offsite locations and 2 auxiliary buildings. This expansion allowed Whitehorse HHBC to expand its assortment and selection to further serve all Yukoners with their renovation and household needs.
It was followed by the building of the AutoStak, a covered lumber shed, allowing Whitehorse HHBC to proudly claim that they are the largest covered lumber supplier in the Yukon, and the only one in Whitehorse.
As our population and economy continues to grow and change, we promise to grow and change too. Dedicating ourselves to continue serving Yukoners to the best of our ability using the co-operative setup of the Home Hardware Stores Ltd. buying group and our independently sourced suppliers to ensure that Yukoners have access to all the best and trendiest renovation supplies at competitive prices with superior customer service.
