Beaver Lumber had been a staple to the Whitehorse community for many years. Standing in Home Hardware’s current location for over a decade, it is outgrew the original (and leaky) building and current building was constructed in the mid 1990’s, followed later that year by the lumber shed.

In 2000 Home Hardware Stores Ltd. acquired Beaver Lumber, with all stores remaining independently owned and operated. Our landmark green and yellow sign was replaced and we became Whitehorse Home Hardware Building Center.

In the coming years a lot of growth and positive change came. In 2004 a 9800 square foot expansion was constructed to accommodate the growing and changing city. In April of 2014, Whitehorse Home Hardware purchased Northern Home Appliances and became the local GE appliance dealer.
